Jhuwani Community Library and Resource Center held an interaction program with pregnant women of the community on 27th July 2013. The interaction was facilitated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Acharya, Gynecologist at Bharatpur Government Hospital. The 27 pregnant women that attended the interaction had the opportunity to ask questions to Dr. Sunil. Information pertinent to pregnancy and related issues were provided to the attendees. Dr. Sunil highlighted various issues that pregnant women might encounter within different time periods of their pregnancy. Attendees were constantly reminded and informed about the importance of going to the hospital at least four times during the pregnancy, including going to the hospital at the time of delivery. This interaction was held under Beyond Access’ public choice award program.
